Description

  • Own the relationship between Unity’s engine and console platform ecosystems, including SDK tracking and platform-specific roadmap management.
  • Ensure Unity meets the technical requirements developers need to pass first-party certification.
  • Own Unity’s audio and video backend capabilities across the full content pipeline, from import and transcode in the Editor to build and runtime playback.
  • Work with internal teams, end users, and external hardware partners to discover user needs and define current and future product requirements.
  • Validate technology in development and keep developers unblocked as platform requirements change.
  • Extract, analyze, and visualize quantitative and qualitative data to inform product and user-experience decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Product Design to build and execute roadmaps.
  • Partner with Product Marketing on go-to-market plans and cross-promotional opportunities with partners.

Requirements

  • Proven technical product management experience with a background in game development and a track record of feature development and delivery.
  • Strong technical background in console game development with deep knowledge of the console publishing process.
  • Demonstrated product leadership with strong user empathy and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong technical communication skills and the ability to translate customer feedback into underlying needs and goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data analysis tools.
  • Experience with media or content pipelines, including audio/video codecs, container formats, transcoding, or runtime playback (preferred).
  • Experience shipping Unity games to console platforms (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience integrating platform features or submitting titles to platform certification (preferred).
  • A sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written communication with global colleagues and partners.
  • Relocation support is not available for this position.
  • Work visa or immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
