Description

  • Write fast, maintainable code in C# and C++.
  • Design, implement, and maintain AR Foundation subsystems and APIs across multiple platforms.
  • Partner with platform providers to integrate new hardware capabilities into unified cross-platform APIs.
  • Develop and evolve managed C# APIs with a focus on stability, backward compatibility, and developer experience.
  • Collaborate with other Unity engineering teams to ensure XR features work well with the engine as a whole.
  • Build samples, tests, and documentation to help creators adopt new capabilities quickly.
  • Debug complex issues across managed code, SDKs, and device-specific behavior.
  • Help deliver key features and the underlying architecture for AR Foundation and related Unity packages.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in C# and C++, with comfort moving between managed and native code.
  • Familiarity with profiling and debugging tools.
  • Experience building SDKs, frameworks, or platform APIs where long-term stability and backward compatibility matter.
  • Solid foundation in 3D math.
  • Willingness to work across unfamiliar areas as needed.
  • Experience or strong interest in high-performance paradigms like DOTS, ECS, and the C# Job System (preferred).
  • Experience using Unity or other game engines (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (preferred).
  • Familiarity with existing XR/AR/VR technologies (preferred).
  • Professional verbal and written English communication required due to global collaboration.
