Description

  • Collaborate closely with external customer teams to develop games and game production tools.
  • Scope, estimate, and assist in planning and scheduling customer projects.
  • Diagnose and solve customers' challenging technical problems, including on-site and remote consultations.
  • Optimize customers' game performance and provide production verification and feedback for Unity features.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Unity internal development teams and relay customer feedback.
  • Educate and mentor customers and internal teams through technical documentation, training, and clear communication.
  • Proactively keep technical knowledge current with Unity Engine and game content creation technologies.

Requirements

  • Experience across a variety of game projects and platforms (not necessarily only Unity).
  • Ability to adapt to customer production environments and, when needed, take over or lead work streams in collaboration with customers.
  • Strong understanding of technical challenges in complex game development environments.
  • Experience developing and debugging code in large multithreaded C# or C++ codebases using multi-platform engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal, in-house).
  • Deep technical expertise in the Unity ecosystem, including C#, ScriptableObjects, Addressables, Unity lifecycle, and modern render pipelines (URP/HDRP).
  • Proven ability to profile and optimize CPU, GPU, and memory usage using tools such as the Unity Profiler, Frame Debugger, and RenderDoc.
  • Experience shipping and maintaining titles across Mobile, PC, or Console and understanding platform-specific constraints.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics for both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to mentor less experienced developers.
  • Preferred: familiarity or strong interest in DOTS/ECS/C# Job System; experience with version control (Git/Perforce); delivering training/technical talks and writing technical articles; awareness of AI/ML workflows.
  • Sufficient professional English for frequent global communication; note that relocation support and work visa/immigration sponsorship are not available for this position.
