Description

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinicians to translate product requirements into clear technical plans.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of features and services: design, implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.
  • Design and implement APIs, data models, and integrations supporting member journeys, clinical workflows, and care coordination.
  • Contribute to evolving the architecture to enable teams to build new experiences quickly and avoid reinventing the wheel.
  • Build with reliability and performance in mind, defining graceful failure modes, timeouts, and efficient queries.
  • Participate in design reviews and RFCs, bringing a pragmatic, product-focused perspective.
  • Write well-tested code with meaningful unit and integration tests and instrument features with Mixpanel analytics.
  • Maintain dashboards and alerts that reflect real user outcomes and support observability.
  • Contribute to and uphold engineering standards, including coding conventions, design patterns, and documentation, and provide thoughtful code reviews.

Requirements

  • ~4+ years of professional software engineering experience building product experiences in production environments.
  • Proven track record of owning and shipping features or projects in a modern web stack.
  • Experience collaborating closely with product and design on user-facing features.
  • Strong full-stack capabilities: design APIs and schemas, implement backend logic, and build the UI that consumes them.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (ideally React).
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform); familiarity with Google Cloud Platform preferred.
  • Familiarity with Node.js/Express, MySQL, and third-party API integrations.
  • Experience with observability and tooling such as GitHub, Sentry, Okta, Mixpanel, Omni (or similar); comfortable debugging across logs, traces, metrics, and data.
  • Solid systems-design instincts for reliability, performance, and security.
  • Behaviors and nice-to-haves: ownership and clear communication; comfortable working with clinicians and non-technical partners; open to feedback and continuous improvement; experience in healthcare or regulated domains (HIPAA, PHI, SOC 2) and exposure to EHRs or wearables integrations are a plus.
