Description

  • Lead end-to-end semi-monthly and monthly payroll processing for employees and contractors across multiple U.S. and Canadian entities.
  • Oversee payroll operations in India and coordinate with regional teams to ensure consistency, compliance, and cross-border alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, including filings, withholdings, and multi-state registrations.
  • Reconcile payroll liabilities such as taxes, benefits, and garnishments in partnership with HR and Finance.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to reconcile journal entries and ensure accurate labor expense classification across entities.
  • Maintain timely updates to compensation, deductions, and benefits data and manage HSA contribution uploads.
  • Oversee UK pension import processes and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment requirements and provider submissions.
  • Serve as the escalation point for employee payroll inquiries and provide responsive, professional support.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, FP&A, and Project Accounting on labor cost allocation, forecasting, and headcount planning.
  • Prepare payroll metrics, management reports, audit-ready documentation, and support internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of payroll experience in a multi-state, multi-entity environment; NAM, EMEA, and/or APAC exposure is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with multi-currency payroll and foreign exchange considerations.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll tax law, compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting; familiarity with UK and/or India payroll regulations is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with timesheet systems, labor cost segmentation, and payroll journal entries.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliation, data validation, pivot tables, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable payroll platform.
  • Clear communication skills with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong discretion when handling sensitive and confidential employee information.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and data privacy regulations for EMEA payroll operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Ramp or similar modern financial platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of project-based cost allocations and indirect rate structures is preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Global Payroll Management (GPM) certification is preferred.
