Description

  • Build and evolve platform foundations, standards, guardrails, documentation, and environments for dbt development.
  • Improve CI/CD, automated checks, deployment patterns, and developer experience for data workflows.
  • Manage Terraform-based data infrastructure, including pipelines, IAM, and environments.
  • Troubleshoot MySQL-to-BigQuery CDC replication with GCP Datastream and build backfill, drift-detection, and reconciliation tooling.
  • Partner with Analytics, Finance, Product, and Engineering to deliver trusted metrics, dashboards, and data solutions.
  • Develop and optimize BigQuery models, dbt transformations, analytics-ready datasets, and self-service reporting capabilities.
  • Support multi-tenant customer reporting with strong correctness, tenant isolation, and query performance.
  • Design and maintain scalable Python, dbt, and GKE-based pipelines with robust quality, reliability, observability, and cost controls.
  • Integrate data workflows with backend services and APIs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep data platform experience.
  • Strong Python programming and SQL skills, including analytical data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery or a similar cloud data warehouse.
  • Production experience with dbt, including building models independently.
  • Experience improving data workflow infrastructure, including reliability, observability, CI/CD, permissions, environments, and deployment patterns.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
  • Experience with a major cloud platform; GCP is preferred.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, version control, and code reviews.
  • Preferred experience with GCP Datastream, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, or MySQL CDC replication.
  • Preferred experience with Kubernetes orchestration, Argo Workflows, Looker/LookML, Ruby on Rails, or Go.
