Description

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and triage requests from shared inboxes and other intake channels.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity by processing employee transactions and supporting data validation and auditing.
  • Provide backup support for payroll operations, including reviewing reports and assisting with payroll cycles.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment and payroll laws, record retention, and internal policies.
  • Maintain documentation for payroll and People Operations processes to support controls, audits, and continuity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Total Rewards, Finance, and Talent.
  • Monitor inquiry trends and operational workflows to help develop knowledge base content, SOPs, and process improvements.
  • Evaluate People Operations processes and participate in implementing efficiency and control improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR generalist or people operations role supporting onboarding, offboarding, and administration.
  • Remote candidates must reside in Washington (WA) or Oregon (OR).
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, federal, state, and local employment and payroll laws and organizational policies.
  • Ability to learn HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems while maintaining accurate data.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data management and payroll-related processes.
  • Ability to manage high-volume work, prioritize competing demands, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification (preferred).
