Description

  • Design, develop, and own the end-to-end implementation of high-stakes prototypes and production-ready solutions.
  • Drive technical direction for experimentation with AI, machine learning, and frontier technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design and build new product ideas.
  • Establish governance for code reviews and continuously improve engineering standards.
  • Mentor peers and raise overall code quality across the team.
  • Communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, and project progress to executive stakeholders and engineering peers.
  • Adapt technical strategies quickly in response to changing requirements, user feedback, and market dynamics.
  • Enable rapid experimentation in partnership with the ETI tech lead.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go.
  • Experience building applications with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular and/or back-end frameworks such as Node.js or Spring Boot.
  • Solid understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL paradigms.
  • Experience with an agentic coding operating model and advanced dev tools, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and LLMs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with effective communication for technical discussions.
  • Exceptional ability to navigate ambiguity, self-unblock, and solve undefined problems independently.
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Hands-on exposure to LLM, AI, or machine learning principles or projects is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS or Azure and distributed systems is preferred.
  • Experience working in remote or globally distributed teams is preferred.
  • Contributions to open source or tech community projects are preferred.

  • Competitive pay with estimated base salary ranges from $227,840 to $335,000 depending on location.
  • May be eligible for Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan.
