Description

  • Lead product requirements for building and operating a central data catalog as a metadata store.
  • Drive data governance initiatives across multiple teams, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Define and execute governance processes for the data pipeline, including access management for operational and analytical data use.
  • Develop and communicate a vision for data governance at Twilio.
  • Partner with product managers, engineering counterparts, and cross-functional teams across Twilio R&D.
  • Translate customer needs into product requirements and deliver solutions that address data handling, privacy, and compliance needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience in a fast-paced company.
  • Strong background in data governance, including leading at least one initiative involving metadata cataloging, data reliability, sensitive data classification, and access management.
  • Experience with data platforms, customer engagement platforms, or streaming applications.
  • Proficiency in the big data ecosystem, such as Kafka, Spark, Presto/Athena, or similar technologies.
  • Technical experience with cloud platforms, APIs, communications, enterprise software, data reliability, and ETL techniques.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to understand customer challenges and articulate a product vision.
  • Experience gathering requirements from multiple, often conflicting, sources and prioritizing work with engineering and design.
  • Ability to operate across the full product lifecycle, from conception through continuous operation of 24x7 services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Collaborative approach and strong communication skills, especially with distributed cross-functional teams.
