Description

  • Drive new customer acquisition and own a quota for incremental Account Contract Value (iACV).
  • Lead consultative sales cycles to close complex new business in competitive vendor sourcing processes.
  • Work with customers to understand business and technical requirements and design solutions using Twilio’s communications API platform.
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial contracts with Finance, Legal, Pricing, and Operations.
  • Present complex contractual, technical, and financial information clearly to prospects.
  • Manage multiple deals and projects while balancing competing priorities.
  • Partner with sales, services, product, and finance to develop territory strategies and sales plans.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer for Twilio’s product and carrier relations teams.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in Salesforce.
  • Stay current on CPaaS industry changes and share best practices with the team.

Requirements

  • 10 years of full-cycle sales experience, including at least 3 years managing or leading highly analytical products or solutions.
  • Experience directly selling technical SaaS or CPaaS.
  • Experience with outbound prospecting into install bases and greenfield accounts, plus executing a strong QBR strategy.
  • Technical solutions selling experience with real customers and problem-solving use cases.
  • Ability to work with business and highly technical leaders and build supportive partnerships.
  • Analytical account development approach using data to identify opportunities and prove value.
  • Proven track record of managing business forecasts and financial models.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to define process and build programs.
  • Record of delivering market-driven results for scale and enterprise customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Deep experience with telecom companies, including CPaaS, SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms (preferred).
  • Domain expertise in a highly quantitative industry such as DevOps, Fintech, advertising optimization, investment banking, security, or commodity trading (preferred).
  • Software, SaaS, CPaaS, or PaaS selling experience (preferred).
  • Remote role based in the United States.
  • Approximately 30% travel required.
