Description

  • Define the strategy and execution for Twilio’s Copilot backend services and AI orchestration layer.
  • Design a unified knowledge layer that aggregates product documentation, support tickets, API logs, and other proprietary data.
  • Define the logic, triggers, and workflows for proactive AI nudges that help customers resolve issues in real time.
  • Ensure consistent memory, personality, and behavior for agents across Console, SMS, Slack, and other channels.
  • Establish frameworks for retrieval-augmented generation and fine-tuning to improve technical accuracy and reduce hallucinations.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to embed intelligent assistance into core user journeys.
  • Manage infrastructure cost, latency, performance, and reliability for high-volume LLM interactions.
  • Use contextual data and telemetry to improve customer assistance, friction detection, and autonomous issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a focus on backend services, internal platforms, or intelligent automation.
  • Deep understanding of building AI systems that use contextual data such as user state, account history, and real-time logs.
  • Familiarity with building RAG pipelines and giving agents tools to solve customer problems.
  • Proven ability to use AI to improve metrics such as time-to-first-hello, churn reduction, and support ticket deflection.
  • Ability to design backend systems for high-concurrency AI interactions while maintaining strict data privacy and security.
  • Experience influencing product teams to adopt centralized AI services across product silos.
  • Experience building chatbots or assistants for technical or developer personas, such as GitHub Copilot or AWS Q (preferred).
  • Experience using behavioral analytics to identify friction points and design automated interventions (preferred).
  • Knowledge of how to move conversations from web chat to live support or phone with full context (preferred).
  • Remote role, with occasional travel for project or team in-person meetings.
  • Not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, or surrounding areas.
