Description

  • Lead end-to-end technical engagements from solution scoping in POC workshops through production deployment and launch.
  • Write and ship production code in customer codebases using Python, TypeScript, and Node.
  • Design APIs, integrate with customer architecture, and build error handling, observability, and test coverage.
  • Architect solutions that satisfy customer security, compliance, and architecture review requirements.
  • Run customer hackathons and builder activation events to accelerate adoption of new solutions.
  • Build reusable technical assets such as reference implementations, starter apps, SDKs, sample repos, and engineering guides.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architects and Demo Platform Engineering to turn reference architectures into deployable code.
  • Evangelize Twilio within customer builder communities by driving new POCs and demos.
  • Synthesize field insights from production deployments into product improvement and feature requirements for R&D.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping production code in Python, TypeScript, or Node.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including API design, system architecture, testing, debugging, version control, and CI/CD.
  • Experience running end-to-end technical engagements from POC workshops through production deployment.
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence with C-level, customer, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in ambiguity, hold strong opinions loosely, and adapt quickly.
  • Strong understanding of Twilio’s products and the SaaS market, especially cloud computing, Gen AI, CRM, CDP, and/or CPaaS.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering strong customer-facing outcomes.
  • Prior forward deployed engineering, technical presales, or solution engineering experience is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of LLM concepts, context engineering, and conversational AI patterns.
  • Experience building multi-agent AI systems with frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph or CrewAI.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and observability tooling.
  • A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Must be based in London, UK or Dublin, Ireland.
  • Approximately 30% travel is expected.
