Description

  • Define team capacity, hiring needs, interview candidates, make hiring decisions, and oversee onboarding.
  • Hold regular team meetings and one-on-ones, and manage technical leads through performance oversight.
  • Manage personnel actions including promotions, dismissals, leave authorizations, bonuses, and compensation decisions.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, address performance issues, and develop performance improvement plans.
  • Run grooming sessions, assign and monitor engineering tasks, and track project execution to timely completion.
  • Provide technical validation through code review, quality assessment, and release authorization, and act as an escalation point for critical issues.
  • Guide architectural design and technical decisions for integration projects and define team-wide engineering standards.
  • Oversee infrastructure architecture and security for distributed systems handling sensitive payroll, financial, and PII data in SOC 2-compliant environments.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data quality monitoring systems for payroll accuracy and business metric improvements.
  • Represent the engineering team in client-facing technical discussions and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Aviation Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Five years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or Backend Developer.
  • Knowledge of PII compliance frameworks and secure coding principles.
  • Proficiency in Python development, distributed backend architecture, API design, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with relational databases and major cloud platform deployment.
  • Experience designing authorized data extraction systems, including API reverse-engineering, browser automation, and anti-automation mitigation in compliant, user-authorized environments.
  • Experience handling sensitive financial data and implementing observability systems.
  • Experience with data quality monitoring and alerting in production environments.
  • Experience implementing data validation and verification techniques, including heuristic or statistical cross-source validation of financial information.
  • Experience leading technical projects from design to release, enforcing engineering standards, and conducting technical interviews.
  • Experience with Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) and LLM-based autonomous agents and workflows for data processing.
