Description

  • Develop and sustain connectors between Trustly and financial institutions (direct integrations such as REST APIs and other connector technologies).
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services (using Java) that power integrations and transaction flows.
  • Develop and maintain APIs used by Trustly and partner systems.
  • Monitor connector health and transaction success/failure rates and take corrective actions to maintain high product quality.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to missing or inconsistent data in HTTP transactions.
  • Search for solutions to complex problems within a defined scope and propose pragmatic technical approaches.
  • Apply appropriate software architectures and design patterns to concrete, day-to-day engineering problems.
  • Implement front-end features when required, working with frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js, or plain JavaScript.

Requirements

  • Degree in a related IT field.
  • Experience as a full-stack developer with web development background.
  • Backend development experience with Java (experience with .NET is also noted, but this role uses Java).
  • Understanding of different software architectures and the ability to apply design patterns appropriately.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with a commercial relational database.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular2+, React, or Vue.js and with pure JavaScript (preferred).
  • Familiarity with non-relational databases (preferred).
  • Ability to analyze non-performing SQL queries and implement optimizations (preferred).
  • Experience building and troubleshooting REST APIs and handling HTTP transaction issues.
