Description

  • Lead cultural resources projects and independently manage archaeological and historic resources assignments.
  • Direct field studies and supervise field teams, including junior and temporary cultural resources staff.
  • Perform archaeological research, field surveys, monitoring, testing, and data recovery projects.
  • Prepare reports, site forms, curation materials, and other project deliverables.
  • Support Section 106 and Section 110 compliance, technical studies, and permitting for public and private clients and tribal entities.
  • Coordinate consultation and project interactions with clients, agencies, and Tribal representatives.
  • Lead fieldwork planning, mobilization, demobilization, and execution.
  • Develop proposal scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Mentor staff and project managers while providing technical and operational support.
  • Ensure quality control and delivery of high-quality technical products.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist credential.
  • Ability to obtain or currently hold State and Federal archaeology permits in New Mexico and Arizona.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience, with preference for 10+ years in progressively responsible cultural resource roles.
  • Experience in the desert southwest and intermountain west, including work with architectural historians.
  • Experience with federal, state, and local historic preservation and cultural resources regulations.
  • Strong project planning, development, and management experience.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, U.S. work eligibility, and ability to pass pre- and post-employment drug and alcohol testing.
