Description

Architect and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, Route53, and CloudFront.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Chef and, where appropriate, CloudFormation.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions integrated with AWS.
Develop automation scripts in Python or PHP to manage tenant and environment operations.
Manage MySQL and MongoDB databases, including automated backups and restore processes.
Implement and optimize monitoring, observability, and alerting using DataDog.
Maintain SOC II compliance, IAM policies, and audit readiness.
Support Development, QA, Staging, and segmented Production environments.
Collaborate with developers through a ticket-based workflow and maintain fast communication.
Lead infrastructure migration efforts and design a scalable backup strategy.
Mentor future DevOps hires and help grow the infrastructure team.

Requirements

5–7 years of hands-on experience in AWS DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, VPC, Load Balancers, Lambda, SQS, CloudFront, and Route53.
Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Shell, Python, or PHP for automation and tooling.
Strong understanding of the LAMP stack, including Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, and PHP.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
Experience securing and monitoring infrastructure.
Familiarity with security and compliance standards such as SOC II.
Preferred AWS certifications.
Ability and willingness to work US hours.
Direct, fast, and transparent communication style.
Extreme ownership and urgency, with the ability to deliver without micromanagement.
Reliable, proactive, and calm under production pressure.
Builder-first mindset focused on scalable, repeatable systems.
