Description

  • Create resilient pipelines for large-scale vehicle-fleet and simulation data.
  • Build and support Torc’s Data Factory pipelines for machine-learning training.
  • Scale the data lake through distributed storage, data discovery, and crawling.
  • Implement data validation, versioning, provenance, and governance controls.
  • Acquire and integrate datasets from internal and external sources.
  • Design, architect, and deliver cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with perception, planning, control, mapping, and vehicle-testing teams.
  • Implement cloud capabilities that improve the development, deployment, and testing of safety-critical autonomous-vehicle software.
  • Participate in a business-hours on-call rotation for deployed systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus competencies typically gained through 4+ years of experience, or a master’s degree plus competencies typically gained through 0–3+ years of experience.
  • Experience deploying, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining Linux systems.
  • Experience building and maintaining workloads in public cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, vector stores, data warehouses, and distributed data stores.
  • Practical Linux and Bash scripting experience.
  • Practical Docker and containerization experience.
  • Experience implementing workflow patterns with directed acyclic graphs, such as Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
  • Commitment to test-driven development, continuous integration and delivery, and infrastructure as code.
  • Preferred: Databricks, Ray, pandas, NumPy, or other Python data-analysis tooling experience.
  • Preferred: Deep knowledge of AWS serverless services, robotics or ADAS data patterns, and end-to-end cloud architecture delivery.
