Description

Build and maintain production integrations with YouTube Data API, Meta Graph API, and TikTok Display API.
Design and own a Connector framework that normalizes data across platforms through a clean internal interface.
Implement OAuth flows, scheduled data ingestion, and queue-based background processing for reliable syncs.
Operate connectors in production by monitoring health, freshness, error rates, and credential rotation.
Respond to platform changelog updates and maintain a runbook for each platform integration.
Build graceful degradation paths so the product can handle platform API failures without breaking user workflows.
Partner with the product manager to define the user experience when third-party platforms misbehave.
Lead the integration of additional platforms and third-party services as the product expands.
Own the integration layer end-to-end, including incident response and recovery from outages.

Requirements

4+ years of backend engineering experience.
Strong production experience with Node.js or TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
Experience shipping and maintaining at least one production integration with YouTube Data API, Meta Graph API, or TikTok API.
Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, token rotation, rate limiting, retry strategies, exponential backoff, and queue-based architectures.
Production experience with a background job system such as Inngest, Trigger.dev, BullMQ, Sidekiq, Temporal, or similar.
Operational mindset with experience assuming APIs will fail and designing for unexpected failures.
Experience being on call for production systems and handling incident response.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code and own a system end-to-end, including monitoring.
Bonus: experience with creator-economy tools or third-party APIs such as Stripe, Twilio, or Salesforce.
Bonus: familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Sentry, Datadog, or Grafana.
Bonus: comfort with infrastructure work such as Postgres tuning, Supabase or Neon, AWS, or Cloudflare.
