Description

  • Own the end-to-end success of a new business line, including revenue growth, pipeline health, gross margin, and overall P&L performance.
  • Develop the business strategy by analyzing market and industry opportunities and selecting the highest-potential areas to pursue.
  • Build and test new offerings with clients to achieve product-market fit, then iterate based on client feedback and performance data.
  • Work with Marketing and Talent Operations to create launch and execution plans that ensure the right talent and solutions are available on demand.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Executive Leadership, Sales, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Talent Operations to align the business with company growth goals.
  • Represent Toptal in front of clients as a trusted business partner, helping guide them through business challenges and solution design.
  • Establish analytics, reporting, and feedback loops to refine strategy and improve business performance over time.
  • Participate in account planning, client pursuits, delivery, and industry events to grow the business across SMB and Enterprise segments.
  • Scale the supporting infrastructure, including people, processes, and systems, as the business expands.
  • Lead execution with independent judgment while balancing top-line growth with operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience driving and managing a business with a strong understanding of business operations and management principles.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a business with P&L ownership.
  • Experience serving as a product leader for a business or business unit, with ownership of product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and outcomes in partnership with Engineering.
  • Experience in a professional services organization driving business growth.
  • Demonstrated success building and launching a new business or product offering from scratch, or equivalent entrepreneurial experience.
  • Experience at a technology company or hyper-growth company strongly preferred.
  • Management consulting experience at a top-tier firm such as McKinsey, Bain, or BCG, or investment banking experience preferred.
  • Experience establishing high-impact, revenue-generating commercial relationships.
  • Experience with marketing technology and automation, including marketing platforms, CRMs, and related tools.
  • Strong command of P&L management and financial metrics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and detail orientation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and build consensus across senior stakeholders.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of hire; resumes and communication must be in English.
