Description

  • Own the end-to-end success of a new business line, including revenue growth, pipeline health, and gross margin.
  • Manage the business P&L and optimize supply and demand while balancing growth and operational efficiency.
  • Develop market positioning, business strategy, and initial go-to-market plans for the new venture.
  • Analyze market and industry opportunities to identify the highest-potential segments and offerings.
  • Build and test new offerings with clients and iterate quickly based on feedback to achieve product-market fit.
  • Partner with Marketing and Talent Operations to create launch and execution plans and ensure delivery capacity is in place.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Sales, and other teams to execute the growth strategy.
  • Work directly with clients as a trusted business partner while representing Toptal’s brand.
  • Establish analytics and feedback loops to measure performance and continuously refine strategy.
  • Support account planning, client pursuits, delivery, and industry events as the business scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience driving and managing a business with strong business operations and management knowledge.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a business with P&L ownership.
  • Experience in a professional services organization driving business growth.
  • Demonstrated success building and launching a new business or product offering from scratch, or equivalent entrepreneurial experience.
  • Experience at a technology company or hyper-growth company is strongly preferred.
  • Management consulting experience at a top-tier firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or investment banking experience is preferred.
  • Leadership experience with responsibility for business results in a fast-paced, multi-function environment.
  • Experience with marketing technology and automation, including marketing platforms, CRMs, and related tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen, financial literacy, and command of P&L and financial metrics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work across senior executives and individual contributors.
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable attending scheduled virtual team meetings on camera, working independently, and using digital collaboration tools.
  • World-class individual contributor who can take ownership without relying on close supervision.
