Description

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for inbound leads and guide prospective clients through the sales process.
  • Conduct regular sales calls and accurately communicate Toptal’s value proposition to potential clients.
  • Manage deal cycles from discovery through close and move qualified leads forward in the funnel.
  • Research prospective clients, track industry trends, and stay informed about competitors to support outreach and relationship building.
  • Deliver a customer-centric experience across all client interactions during defined working hours.
  • Collaborate with team members to respond quickly to high-volume inbound inquiries using Zoom and Slack.
  • Apply feedback, sales best practices, and continuous improvement to strengthen individual and team performance.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and consistently work toward sales goals.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and provide input to management on policies and procedures.
  • Mentor new team members after ramp-up by sharing knowledge of Toptal’s model and standard methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 1-3 years of B2B sales experience in roles such as Account Executive, Inside Sales, Outside Sales Representative, or Account Representative.
  • Software or tech-related sales experience and education are a plus.
  • Full availability during working hours to take client calls.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment and manage multiple deadlines and diverse contacts.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to handle a high volume of clients.
  • Strong client-centric mindset with the ability to uncover and resolve client needs through value-based selling.
  • A competitive, growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and continuously seek feedback.
