Description

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain resilient, scalable features across Toast’s enterprise management products.
  • Lead complex projects that improve product functionality and reliability for customers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Toast to deliver enterprise product improvements.
  • Contribute to the overall quality of the Android system.
  • Build automated tests to ensure quality for product changes.
  • Roll out features to customers and monitor their success.
  • Collaborate with UX and Product Management on feature definition and design.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, or Manitoba and work remotely within Canada.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining Android applications.
  • Extensive experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of testing, quality, and software development best practices.
  • Experience shipping production services while balancing delivery speed with platform stability and reliability.
  • Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics.
  • Experience building backend services and APIs is a plus.
  • Experience building with Compose is a plus.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment with a shared codebase.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $160,000–$210,000 CAD.
  • Additional cash compensation may include overtime and bonus/commissions if eligible.
