Description

  • Prepare timely and accurate commercial proposals and technical specifications in response to client RFQs.
  • Develop detailed cost analyses and cost elements for technical specifications and proposals.
  • Define hardware and software solutions for projects in collaboration with clients and OEMs.
  • Develop pricing strategies to maximize project margins.
  • Solicit client feedback to identify improved product and service features.
  • Design competitive technical approaches to resolve client issues.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals to select the best technical and most economical solution.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at technical conferences, meetings, and client sites.
  • Provide technical guidance through proposal preparation, review, and final submission.
  • Lead technical and commercial proposal development for small projects with limited supervision.
  • Monitor industry and competitor trends to recommend new products, services, and competitive options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
  • 2+ years of systems or application engineering experience in metals, material handling, or related complex industrial control systems.
  • Demonstrated success as a contributing member of a project team.
  • Strong personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal/external contacts.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% with limited notice.
  • 5+ years of systems or application engineering experience in metals, material handling, or related complex industrial control systems (preferred).
  • Experience in client-facing, sales, or marketing-related assignments (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Oracle Sales Cloud or another customer relationship management system (preferred).
