Description

  • Partner with GTM, CS, and Security to plan, prioritize, and break down authorization and compliance work into milestones.
  • Facilitate communication across Product, Engineering, and other departments on public-sector features and customer needs.
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues in government environments and engage directly with prospects and customers when needed.
  • Contribute to technical discussions while preserving engineer autonomy.
  • Improve engineering processes, including change control and review practices for a compliance-regulated environment.
  • Help attract, recruit, and hire strong engineers.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, ambition, and collaboration.
  • Maintain technical familiarity by working on smaller, lower-priority engineering tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an engineering management or team lead role, ideally at a SaaS company.
  • Some prior people management experience is required.

  • Experience with tools and technologies such as Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, Docker, AWS, and AWS CDK is helpful.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn are valued; direct experience with Ruby or TypeScript is not required.
  • Ability to demonstrate foundational skills and knowledge through experience rather than formal education.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and perform the work while located within the United States.

Benefits

  • Target salary range of $215,000 to $230,000 plus equity.
  • Fully remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with preference for the Greater Boston area.
  • Access to Tines office space in downtown Boston for in-person collaboration if desired.
  • Reasonable hours and realistic workload planning to support healthy, sustainable work.
  • Emphasis on taking holidays and avoiding burnout from overwork.
  • Equity package included with compensation.
  • An inclusive, supportive team culture focused on kindness and respect.
