Description

  • Execute and improve Thumbtack’s paid search strategy to identify new opportunities for customer and pro growth.
  • Manage, optimize, and grow the SEM program across Google and Microsoft while meeting KPI targets.
  • Develop an experimentation roadmap for ad copy, keywords, bidding, and related campaign elements.
  • Partner with data science, analytics, and engineering teams to build automation and scalable tools.
  • Own tracking, attribution, and measurement for performance metrics such as iROAS, incrementality, and lift using in-house and third-party data.
  • Work closely with cross-functional growth marketing partners to build effective full-funnel marketing programs.
  • Support data pipeline development for bid automation and ad creation at scale.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in paid digital advertising with a track record of scaling programs against conversion volume and efficiency goals.
  • Demonstrated experience improving SEM performance through testing, optimization, automation, and creative.
  • Experience managing relationships with a large portfolio of ad vendors and partners.
  • Ability to define and execute a 6-12 month roadmap with aggressive milestones.
  • Experience with TROAS and LTV bidding.
  • Strong data analytics skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and basic modeling.
  • Strong fluency with generative AI and automation tools, with experience integrating them into day-to-day SEM execution and analysis.

  • Remote work designation (#LI-Remote).
  • Expected salary range of $123,300-$159,500 for San Francisco/Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros.
  • Expected salary range of $111,400-$144,100 for Austin, TX, Washington DC, California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington state.
  • Expected salary range of $104,600-$135,300 for all other U.S. locations.
