Description

  • Use incident management processes, monitoring metrics, and tooling to generate reports and take corrective actions.
  • Debug and triage business-impacting issues across complex application systems.
  • Apply standards and best practices to improve system stability, availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Use continuous delivery and DevOps practices to deploy, run, and support software.
  • Use logging, alerting, and monitoring techniques to identify root causes of incidents.
  • Deliver high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and enhancements to the codebase.
  • Mentor less experienced peers and guide junior-level consultants.
  • Apply current technology guidance to solve client problems.
  • Collaborate in Agile, value-driven teams to build customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience with Node and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • High-level understanding of architectures including monolithic, N-tier, layered, microservices, and serverless.
  • Strong debugging and triaging skills to troubleshoot code effectively.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure Pipelines.
  • Understanding of application monitoring tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Comfort with Agile methods such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
  • Good communication and articulation skills.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotation- and need-based 24x7 support team.
  • Experience with relational or non-relational databases.
  • Exposure to the external tech community through speaking, open source, blogs, or similar contributions (preferred).
  • Ability to advocate for and implement cloud and security best practices.
