Description

  • Build fault-tolerant architectures and mechanisms that improve reliability and reduce response and detection times.
  • Integrate observability automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Handle production incidents, coordinate client communications, and prepare root cause analyses.
  • Monitor and scale production systems against SLA and SLO targets.
  • Advise application development teams and help implement reliability improvements.
  • Improve logging, metrics, alerting, and operational efficiency while reducing false alarms and toil.
  • Implement and regularly run chaos engineering practices to test system reliability.
  • Align site reliability direction with client business goals, including application availability targets.

Requirements

  • Hands-on programming and scripting experience, including Python.
  • Working knowledge of at least one public cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, ELK Stack, or Dynatrace.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and GitOps practices.
  • Knowledge of container architectures and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Docker Swarm, or Nomad.
  • Understanding of modern architectures and design patterns, including microservices, serverless, NoSQL, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience analyzing logs, building metrics and dashboards, troubleshooting bugs, and creating reliability-focused infrastructure using cloud Well-Architected principles.
  • Strong English communication, collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure during production incidents and provide technically justified recommendations.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotation- and need-based 24x7 availability team.
