Description

  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, project managers, and technologists to design and deliver mobile software solutions.
  • Write clean, reusable, well-tested code using practices such as TDD, pair programming, and mobile architecture patterns.
  • Advocate for continuous delivery to release high-quality software and customer value early.
  • Build innovative, platform-appropriate, seamless, and human-centered mobile experiences.
  • Apply emerging technologies and practices from the Thoughtworks Technology Radar to solve client problems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to promote and demonstrate a mobile-first culture.
  • Participate in the full consulting and software delivery lifecycle, from ideation through deployment.
  • Mentor less-experienced developers through technical guidance and leadership.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of native mobile platforms, including Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
  • Ability to build custom native modules and bridge native SDKs when required.
  • Experience writing high-quality, well-tested code with Jest and React Native Testing Library.
  • Understanding of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms.
  • Ability to design mobile solutions addressing bridge performance, constrained environments, offline-first operation, store release cycles, accessibility, and privacy.
  • Comfort with Agile methods such as Extreme Programming, Scrum, and/or Kanban.
  • Working knowledge of mobile DevOps and pipeline tools such as Fastlane, EAS, and Gradle is preferred.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Ability to influence others, advocate for technical excellence, navigate ambiguity, and share expertise through community activities such as speaking, open source, or blogging.
