Description

  • Design and build clean, reusable mobile software using practices such as TDD, mobile architecture patterns, and pair programming.
  • Advocate for continuous delivery to release high-quality software and customer value early.
  • Collaborate in value-driven, cross-functional teams to create innovative client experiences.
  • Develop platform-appropriate, seamless, and human-centered mobile experiences.
  • Apply emerging practices and technologies from Thoughtworks’ Technology Radar to client problems.
  • Champion mobile-first engineering practices across teams.
  • Oversee or contribute to the full consulting and delivery lifecycle, from ideation through deployment.
  • Mentor less-experienced developers through technical guidance and leadership.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of native mobile platforms, including Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
  • Experience building custom native modules and bridging native SDKs when needed.
  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code using Jest and React Native Testing Library.
  • Familiarity with functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms.
  • Ability to design for mobile concerns including bridge performance, constrained environments, offline-first operation, store release cycles, accessibility, and privacy.
  • Experience with Agile methods such as Extreme Programming, Scrum, and/or Kanban.
  • Working knowledge of mobile DevOps and pipeline tools such as fastlane, EAS, or Gradle is preferred.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Interest in technical leadership, external technology communities, knowledge sharing, and working effectively through ambiguity.
