Description

  • Lead reactor services projects including refueling outage support, vessel inspections, internals maintenance, diagnostics, and field services.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure reactor maintenance work meets plant procedures, engineering requirements, and nuclear safety and quality standards.
  • Develop project scopes, work packages, schedules, staffing plans, budgets, estimates, and execution strategies.
  • Monitor project performance, schedules, budgets, and KPIs to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support proposal development, technical estimating, bid preparation, and business development efforts.
  • Supervise reactor service technicians, maintenance personnel, subcontractors, and technical specialists.
  • Mentor and develop technical personnel through coaching, feedback, succession planning, and training support.
  • Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, QA requirements, radiological controls, customer procedures, and nuclear safety standards.
  • Serve as a senior relationship leader for utility customers and represent TNC Services in meetings, outage planning sessions, and industry events.
  • Partner with company leadership to shape reactor services growth strategy, service offerings, market positioning, and customer acquisition priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in reactor services, refueling outages, reactor maintenance, nuclear plant operations, or related nuclear services.
  • 5+ years of leadership or project management experience in technical teams, outage execution, or field service operations.
  • Demonstrated success developing senior-level utility customer relationships and contributing to business development and revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of reactor systems, reactor vessel components and internals, refueling activities, and nuclear maintenance practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of NRC requirements, ASME Codes, nuclear quality assurance, radiological controls, and nuclear safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, OEM specifications, work packages, and technical procedures.
  • Experience managing complex outage projects including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and customer expectations.
  • Established relationships within the U.S. commercial nuclear industry and understanding of utility buying processes and outage planning cycles.
  • Ability to travel at least 50%, including extended assignments during refueling outages.
  • Preferred: experience in commercial nuclear power plant reactor services, refueling operations, or nuclear maintenance.
  • Preferred: U.S. Navy Nuclear Program experience or equivalent commercial nuclear experience.
  • Preferred: experience in radiologically controlled environments with ALARA principles.
  • Preferred: experience with reactor vessel inspections, internals maintenance, fuel handling support, underwater tooling, remote inspection technologies, or reactor diagnostic equipment.
  • Preferred: familiarity with ASME Section XI, EPRI guidance, INPO performance standards, and applicable NRC regulations.
  • Preferred: PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
  • Preferred: experience managing teams across multiple nuclear facilities or outage sites.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access authorization for commercial nuclear power plants.
  • Must be able to stand, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in industrial and radiologically controlled environments as needed.
