Description

  • Lead planning, coordination, and oversight of electrical maintenance, testing, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, power distribution, outage, and specialty project work.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure electrical work is performed safely and in accordance with customer requirements, plant procedures, industry standards, and applicable codes.
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to define project scope, technical requirements, staffing needs, schedules, and execution strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support planning, workforce readiness, and resolution of complex field and equipment challenges.
  • Support proposal development, technical estimating, bid preparation, and execution planning for new opportunities.
  • Build and develop high-performing electrical crews by identifying skill, experience, and leadership needs.
  • Assess workforce capabilities, identify skill gaps, and partner on training and development strategies.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop craft professionals, technical specialists, and emerging field leaders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with union halls, labor partners, utility customers, plant leadership, and field stakeholders.
  • Help scale FieldWorks electrical capabilities, standards, workforce practices, and leadership pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent education and relevant industry experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, testing, commissioning, outage execution, or specialty field services in nuclear, power generation, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Experience leading union electrical craft and technical workforces in maintenance, outage, construction, or field service settings.
  • Strong technical expertise in one or more electrical disciplines and credibility as a subject matter expert.
  • Proven ability to assess technical talent, identify skill gaps, and coach craft personnel and technical specialists.
  • Experience building, developing, and mobilizing high-performing crews for complex maintenance or outage work.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including power distribution systems, motors, generators, switchgear, transformers, protective relays, motor control centers (MCCs), and industrial controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, work packages, technical specifications, and related documentation.
  • Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, resource allocation, estimating, or execution planning.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety, quality, plant, and regulatory requirements, including NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50% or more, including extended outage assignments.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting commercial nuclear power plants and scheduled outages.
  • Preferred: Established relationships with union halls, craft organizations, or labor partners.
  • Preferred: Experience with technical training, qualification, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs.
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer, Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or other relevant electrical certification.
  • Preferred: Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, protective relaying, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, or power distribution systems.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, NFPA 70E, NEC, EPRI, and other relevant standards.

  • Estimated starting salary range of $150,000–$173,000 annually.
