Description

  • Lead designated laboratory projects from conception through close-out, including planning, execution, risk management, communication, scope control, and cost control.
  • Serve as the cross-functional lead for assigned projects and monitor delivery against contracted timelines and budgets.
  • Create, manage, and report on project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new and ongoing studies, including daily scheduling and supervision of activities.
  • Communicate with clients, collaborators, and vendors on data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, and related project matters.
  • Prepare and present project information, reports, and correspondence for internal and external meetings.
  • Track metrics and report on project and business performance, including budget variances and out-of-scope work.
  • Assess and mitigate technical, project, and business risks and resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain and update project documentation to approvable status and ensure compliance with standards and expectations.
  • Mentor junior Project Managers and provide internal consulting on project management issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering.
  • Experience as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with experience using MS Office and MS 365 applications.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, research, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, about 10-25%.
  • Ability to work extended hours when business demands require it.
