Description

  • Lead, mentor, and onboard two direct reports while supporting their career development.
  • Analyze affiliate revenue drivers, including commissions, EPC, conversion rates, and partner yield.
  • Own analytics for Wirecutter Store, including unit economics, merchandise performance, cart funnels, AOV, and acquisition and repeat-purchase metrics.
  • Partner with Ad Operations and Advertising teams to track ad yield, fill rates, and viewability while balancing revenue with user experience and page speed.
  • Evaluate trade-offs among affiliate links, advertising placements, and store placements to maximize total revenue per user.
  • Lead recurring commercial reporting for Wirecutter leadership, including revenue analysis, forecasting, and expansion opportunities.
  • Establish KPIs, run conversion experiments, and develop scalable attribution frameworks with Revenue, Product, and Marketing teams.
  • Support The New York Times’ mission of journalistic independence and truth-seeking.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in revenue or e-commerce analytics, including affiliate marketing, digital advertising, or online retail.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • 3+ years analyzing affiliate, programmatic or direct digital advertising, and DTC e-commerce revenue models.
  • 3+ years of experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and pricing or placement experiments.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, ad tech or SSP platforms, and affiliate networks preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python or R preferred.
  • Quantitative degree in Economics, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field preferred.

  • Annual base salary range of $140,000–$160,000 USD.
