Description

  • Serve as shift lead or Person in Charge (PIC) when the manager is absent, overseeing food production, service, and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with the manager to run efficient kitchen operations and address service, operational, personnel, and performance issues.
  • Work with the Dietetic Technician and Registered Dietitian to ensure food production aligns with nutrition orders.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients and their support networks and reinforce HIPAA compliance among culinary staff.
  • Provide culinary service coverage as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Nutrition and Culinary Manager on menu adaptations.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate culinary skills groups for clients using a standardized curriculum.
  • Conduct inventory, ordering, and/or receiving as directed.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and complete required learning, development, and policy review assignments on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years of cooking experience in a medium-volume kitchen required.
  • 2 years of healthcare setting experience preferred.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working in a culinary environment that supports nutrition orders and standardized procedures.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday, 10:30am to 7:00pm.

  • Starting hourly pay of $24.00 to $28.00, with final compensation based on qualifications and experience.
