Description

  • Collaborate with the Director of Technology and Backend Lead on technical challenges, planning, execution, and deployment across projects.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for client sites and applications.
  • Implement efficient data storage solutions and optimize database performance.
  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and enhancements.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and propose improvements to system architecture and performance.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in backend development or a similar role, or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React.js, Vue, and Astro.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, database design, and server-side programming.
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean, efficient code.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly learn new technologies and tools.
