Description

  • Build production code for customer-facing AI inference solutions.
  • Operate and support deployments in production environments.
  • Create continuity between customers, engineering, and AI inference service products.
  • Work directly with customers to understand challenges and define effective solutions.
  • Debug issues across the full inference stack, from failed requests to serving, memory, and kernel-level problems.
  • Translate ambiguous customer needs into verifiable acceptance criteria.
  • Provide feedback through pull requests, reproducible code, benchmarks, and telemetry data.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to explain technical trade-offs clearly.
  • Help scale and validate enterprise AI deployments on Kubernetes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience in roles such as Applied Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, MLOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Field Application Engineer.
  • Strong software engineering skills.
  • Experience turning ambiguous customer requirements or issues into verifiable acceptance criteria.
  • Kubernetes and Helm experience at multi-node, HPC, or AI cluster scale.
  • Experience with observability and infrastructure automation tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience with LLM inference serving engines and technologies such as vLLM, SGLang, Mooncake, NIM, Dynamo, or LMCache.
  • Understanding of accelerator compute, memory, and networking topology as it relates to AI workloads.
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted development and agentic workflows.
  • Ability to access U.S. export-controlled technology and comply with applicable export requirements.
  • Preference for candidates located near Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; or Toronto, ON.
