Description

  • Analyze data from multiple databases to improve quality outcomes, resource utilization, and risk adjustment.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms for large datasets.
  • Build and use predictive models to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, risk adjustment opportunities, and business outcomes.
  • Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies for healthcare problem-solving and workflow improvement.
  • Develop analytic datasets and analyze them using statistical software.
  • Use third-party tools to create queries and visualizations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Ask novel, data-driven questions and drive new analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, epidemiology, engineering, information science, computer science, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Hands-on experience writing Python code for machine learning, data science, engineering, and ETL pipelines.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis software, with data science experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with GitHub/Git, Python, SQL, statistics, and ML modeling.
  • Track record of applying AI or ML models to real-world problems, ideally in healthcare or other complex domains.
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and data mining methods, including hypothesis testing, distribution analysis, Bayesian estimation, linear and logistic regression, GLMs, text mining, and time series analysis.
  • Knowledge of traditional machine learning techniques, including feature engineering, dimensionality reduction, clustering, decision trees, random forests, gradient-boosted decision trees, and deep learning.
  • Knowledge of ML implementation strategies such as production evaluation, drift detection, feature stores, model registries, REST API deployment, and product integration.
  • Interest in staying current on AI advancements such as generative AI, LLMs, and foundation models.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL queries on large, complex datasets for data analysis and analytics engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience in the healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience with Epic EMR data preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with healthcare financials/claims preferred, but not required.
