Description

  • Define the long-term architectural roadmap for API services and backend infrastructure.
  • Manage and mentor a small but growing team of engineers.
  • Work closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into scalable technical features.
  • Partner with QA to resolve complex bugs and maintain high system uptime and performance.
  • Own the backend release cycle and oversee weekly production deployments.
  • Contribute high-quality, production-ready code in TypeScript.
  • Ensure the API follows security best practices for regulated customers.
  • Help drive technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including the type system, decorators, and asynchronous patterns.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS serverless and cloud-native architecture.
  • Experience building solutions with Lambda, ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
  • Strong debugging skills for identifying bottlenecks, race conditions, and hard-to-diagnose issues.
  • Comfort working with distributed tracing, logs, and memory heaps.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design principles.
  • Proven track record of building backend systems for a scaling platform.
  • A BSc or higher in Computer Science or a related field from a top-tier global university, or at least 4 years of experience at a world-class enterprise such as FAANG, a high-growth unicorn, or an industry-leading tech firm.
