Description

  • Own discipline-specific deliverables and ensure they are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project expectations.
  • Design systems and prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and coordinated layouts.
  • Support small projects independently and assist senior engineers and Project Leads on larger projects.
  • Participate in client meetings, coordination sessions, programming, site walks, surveys, and construction support.
  • Build client and design-partner relationships through clear communication, reliability, and follow-through.
  • Coordinate across disciplines to identify issues, document impacts, and support resolution.
  • Maintain organized project documentation in tools such as GitHub, Design Decision Logs, Asana, and Callback One.
  • Support pursuits and proposals by preparing discipline inputs, early fee assumptions, and coordination materials.
  • Contribute to workflow, documentation, and standards improvements through feedback, Pull Requests, and lessons learned.
  • Mentor Designers and early-career team members informally by clarifying markups and reinforcing documentation expectations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the AEC industry.
  • BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent technical/field experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across multiple projects.
  • Experience with technology system design such as Telecom/ICT, Structured Cabling, or Low Voltage disciplines preferred.
  • Experience leading BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline resolution.
  • Ability to maintain model health at a senior production level, including workset management, view templates, warning resolution, and model cleanup.
  • Ability to manage coordinated models, produce accurate drawings with minimal oversight, and resolve production issues independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and coordination efforts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
  • Industry certifications preferred but not required: EIT, CDT, RCDD (Telecom), or PE.
