Description

  • Support engineering teams by removing blockers and helping them succeed.
  • Administer live production systems and handle day-to-day operational support.
  • Improve and maintain containerization and orchestration processes using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Deploy and maintain critical applications in a cloud-native microservices architecture.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure automation solutions across environments.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and escalation processes.
  • Manage the continuous integration and delivery pipeline to improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for system hardening, monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Evaluate existing systems against industry standards and recommend improvements.
  • Define, document, and promote engineering standards and best practices across teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in a technology role, including at least 1 year in a DevOps position.
  • Strong experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and cloud systems.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more scripting languages.
  • Experience with AWS; GCP experience is a plus.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD tools and understanding CI/CD best practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and IaC best practices.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies through self-learning.
  • Ability to retain and protect confidential material.
  • Ability to thrive in a reactive environment with strong time management and planning skills.
  • Previous software engineering experience is a plus.
  • Must have a working laptop/PC, internet access, and a backup connection.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the Philippines; no visa sponsorship is provided.
  • Ability to work full-time in the Philippines during the specified schedule, with contract-to-hire employment status and a 2-week evaluation period.
