Description

  • Select, copyedit, and prepare technical site content for publication on DZone.
  • Research SDLC trends and emerging technologies to support article planning, content strategy, newsletters, and community initiatives.
  • Update site pages daily and ensure published content is timely, relevant, and aligned with editorial standards.
  • Monitor support and editor inboxes, respond to inquiries, remove spam, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify site articles, community content, and other editorial items for newsletters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contributors, authors, and community members.
  • Support community-focused editorial initiatives and contributor engagement programs.
  • Recommend contributors for commercial content opportunities and lead contributor outreach.
  • Manage contributor-driven commercial content projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Vet, commission, onboard, review, and coordinate contributors; track deadlines, revisions, project status, and closeout details.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in technical editing for web channels or prior experience with a publishing company, preferably in the technology field.
  • A degree in English, Technical Writing, Publishing, or a related field.
  • A degree in or experience with software engineering, software development, or another technical discipline is preferred.
  • Basic HTML knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent copyediting and proofreading skills with strong command of American English spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Strong research skills, intellectual curiosity, and genuine interest in software development topics, emerging technologies, and developer communities.
  • Sound editorial judgment with the ability to evaluate structure, clarity, accuracy, tone, and audience fit.
  • Excellent organization and time management with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, contributors, and communication threads.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Must have a working laptop/PC, internet access, and a backup connection.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the Philippines and maintain that authorization throughout employment.
  • Experience engaging with experienced software professionals, contributors, authors, and subject matter experts is preferred.

  • Monthly pay range of ₱46,000 to ₱70,000 PHP.
