Description

  • Design, build, and continuously improve the operational infrastructure that enables the Financial Performance team to scale across the portfolio.
  • Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and gaps in financial performance workflows and implement systemic fixes.
  • Develop and maintain playbooks, frameworks, and templates for consistent financial performance support across network companies.
  • Partner with Operations Leads and Industry Leads to embed scalable practices in day-to-day work with presidents.
  • Lead efforts to unlock, clean, and strategically leverage portfolio data.
  • Audit and improve data pipelines, definitions, and collection practices to increase reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards with Finance, Product, and Operations partners.
  • Build analytical infrastructure that surfaces portfolio-level trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership.
  • Support annual and mid-year strategic planning cycles and ensure network companies engage effectively and track plans.
  • Own the financial performance voice in product roadmap planning and help translate field needs into product requirements.
  • Drive adoption of financial and operational tools across network companies and close the feedback loop with the product team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, FP&A, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to work with data at scale, including auditing quality, improving pipelines, developing frameworks, and turning complex information into clear insights.
  • Strong cross-functional operator who can drive progress across Product, Finance, and Operations without direct authority.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to shift between strategic framing and granular execution.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven workflow automation tools/processes, BI tools such as Looker or Tableau, and SQL is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complexity into executive-ready materials and actionable guidance.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build what does not exist and improve what does.
  • Experience in a portfolio company, multi-unit operations, private equity operations, or management consulting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with small business financial operations, including P&Ls, cash flow, and operational KPIs, is preferred.
  • Experience influencing product roadmaps and working with engineering or product teams on tool adoption is preferred.
  • Background building or improving financial reporting infrastructure, such as data models, dashboards, or automated reporting pipelines, is preferred.
