Description

  • Set long-range strategy for the business line in alignment with Space goals.
  • Lead growth activities including capture, customer engagement, pricing, executive relationships, and adjacent market expansion.
  • Own customer strategy and strengthen relationships with key government customers, primes, and industry partners.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activity, and adjust strategy and resource allocation as needed.
  • Own the full P&L, including revenue, contribution profit, working capital, and investment targets.
  • Make capex and investment recommendations for manufacturing, test infrastructure, classified spaces, and tooling.
  • Manage the operating plan with FP&A and support Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Design and run the business rhythm, including OKRs, annual planning, headcount forecasting, governance, and all-hands.
  • Translate growth signals into operational capacity across staffing, facilities, test ranges, classified infrastructure, and production.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Lead technical execution from design through fabrication, test, and productization.
  • Lead software engineering execution across architecture, autonomy/AI, data, and software-defined capabilities.
  • Own product documentation required for build and production transition.
  • Hire, mentor, and inspire a high-performing leadership team across engineering, program, and operations.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and long-term capability roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Currently possesses and can maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • 15+ years of combined experience across operating, engineering, consulting, or military/government roles.
  • Prior P&L ownership or direct responsibility for business unit financials.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical execution and make credible engineering tradeoffs.
  • Track record of building and scaling teams in matrixed, high-growth environments.
  • Strong commercial, operational, and financial acumen.
  • Strong technical communication skills for delivering briefings and conclusions to technical leadership, company leadership, and customers.
  • Experience leading mission-critical DoD programs, ideally in space systems, satellites, launch, or adjacent domains.
  • Prior zero-to-one experience, such as founding a company, standing up a new business line, or building an organization from scratch.
  • MBA or advanced degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field.
  • Direct operator, military, or government service background.
