Description

  • Lead fullstack development with a strong emphasis on backend scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement application architecture, APIs, and system integrations for the new platform.
  • Set up and manage AWS infrastructure, including account setup, environment provisioning, identity and access management, networking, and monitoring.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines and build reliable deployment, testing, and release processes.
  • Collaborate on technology choices for the backend stack and related frameworks.
  • Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to deliver features on schedule.
  • Ensure security, testing, and DevOps automation best practices are followed.
  • Help design and implement secure payment workflows and integrations with payment systems or gateways.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong backend development experience, ideally with Node.js and TypeScript, or comparable languages such as Java or Golang.
  • Proven AWS experience building, deploying, and managing production workloads.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of system design, API design, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience setting up greenfield projects or modernizing legacy systems.
  • Frontend development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.js.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, ECS, or EKS, and with testing frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience with payment systems or payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, or Adyen, and secure transaction processing is highly valued.
  • Experience in startup or fast-scaling environments is preferred.
