Description

  • Lead the pod’s delivery end-to-end, including backlog refinement, technical breakdown, implementation, review, and release.
  • Design and build agentic orchestration pipelines that move work from intake through automated checks and human approval into production.
  • Integrate AI-assisted review triggers into PR and CI/CD workflows for security, bug-risk, test-gap, and dependency checks.
  • Coach the pod on responsible AI-assisted development across coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and code review.
  • Ship production-visible outcomes early and turn successful practices into standards, guardrails, and tooling for broader adoption.
  • Provide pragmatic technical leadership on pod-owned work and high-risk cross-cutting decisions while advising on wider platform architecture.
  • Lead a modernization path for the pod, including assessing the .NET Core 2.1 estate and recommending a pragmatic upgrade approach.
  • Improve the pod’s path to production through stronger Git workflows, CI/CD, testing expectations, and quality gates.
  • Grow the pod through hiring, onboarding, mentorship, and scrum maturity across distributed and offshore engineers.
  • Ensure delivery meets fintech-grade security, compliance, auditability, and operational discipline, including careful evaluation of AI vendor and tooling risk.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with senior technical leadership responsibility.
  • Strong hands-on experience working in existing production codebases, not only greenfield projects.
  • Experience leading or materially contributing to a small team shipping real product work.
  • Track record of mentoring engineers and rolling out engineering practices beyond your own team.
  • Practical and safe use of AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience building agentic pipelines, including triggers, agent steps, human checkpoints, and CI/CD integration.
  • Experience with React and TypeScript, plus .NET/C#; strong architecture and communication skills.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or other regulated environments is preferred.
  • Experience with legacy .NET Core upgrades; Java or Go in production is preferred.
  • Experience growing a pod or small team into a stable scrum team, or leading multiple squads, is preferred.
  • Experience creating engineering standards, test automation, or secure SDLC practices is preferred.
  • Experience using AI to accelerate codebase comprehension, refactoring, test generation, or migration planning is preferred.
  • Experience with agentic SDLC automation such as PR review agents, CI/CD security scanning, bug-triage-to-fix pipelines, or Slack/issue-tracker integrations is preferred.
