Description

  • Develop brand strategy for each title, including positioning, tone of voice, visual identity, and brand framework.
  • Build deep understanding of target player audiences through research, insights, and ongoing player advocacy.
  • Define product truths, USPs, and market positioning that differentiate each game from competitors.
  • Use brand, player, and market insights to inform product development and marketing decisions.
  • Develop full go-to-market strategies from pre-launch awareness through launch and live operations.
  • Build integrated campaign plans with social, influencer, PR, community, lifecycle, and paid media specialists.
  • Lead campaign kick-off meetings and align stakeholders on objectives, messaging, and timing.
  • Brief, manage, and approve marketing asset creation with internal creative teams and external agencies.
  • Manage marketing budgets, track spend, and optimize resource allocation for maximum impact.
  • Monitor campaign performance against KPIs, report results, and apply insights to improve future activity.
  • Partner with community, production, sales, release management, and other teams to keep marketing aligned across the business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external developers and act as the marketing voice in those partnerships.
  • Lead or commission market intelligence, player insights, and competitive analysis to inform decisions.
  • Run post-campaign retrospectives and feed learnings into future planning.

Requirements

  • Experienced background in brand marketing with the ability to build brand frameworks from scratch.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and executing go-to-market campaigns across multiple channels and disciplines.
  • Experience in the games industry from a publisher, developer, or specialist agency.
  • Deep personal passion for games and strong knowledge of the gaming landscape.
  • Track record of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to move between brand vision and campaign execution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences, including developers, data teams, and executives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills in complex, multi-party environments.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort interpreting performance data and applying insights to decisions.
  • Collaborative, team-first approach with energy, ideas, and reliability.
  • Experience working directly with external development studios or managing publisher-developer relationships (bonus).
  • Familiarity with player research methodologies and insight tools (bonus).
  • Experience managing creative agency and production relationships (bonus).
