Description

  • Work directly with Sales and Customer Success from initial discovery through deal close to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates.
  • Lead discovery meetings, platform demos, and technical Proof of Value engagements for existing customers and new opportunities.
  • Analyze customers’ current technology, architecture, operational needs, and business needs to shape solution recommendations.
  • Translate customer business challenges into technical solutions and position Tanium to address those challenges effectively.
  • Serve as a technical expert throughout pre-sales and POV processes, aligning tactical work with strategic account goals.
  • Partner with field engineering teams to maximize technical effectiveness and deliver a consistent customer experience during the POV process.
  • Communicate customer needs clearly through verbal, written, and presentation formats to audiences ranging from end users to C-level stakeholders.
  • Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers, and partners.
  • Participate in and speak at regional marketing events and conferences.
  • Support customer-facing sales and channel enablement, including training, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and CS to improve customer lifecycle effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Must be located in Minnesota.
  • 6+ years of operational and/or selling experience in endpoint operations or security.
  • 4+ years of experience in customer-facing or customer support roles.
  • Significant software pre-sales or related value-based technical selling experience in very large enterprise environments.
  • Experience presenting to multiple levels, from C-suite executives to solution users.
  • Demonstrated track record of taking ownership of complex initiatives and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Broad knowledge of IT security, operations, and compliance spaces and products.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Endpoint Security, IT Operations Management, or Regulatory Compliance.
  • Broad knowledge of scripting languages is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking skills, and a team-oriented, mission-first attitude.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
