Description

  • Define and own the category narrative and market positioning for Mind as the next-generation alternative to traditional EAPs and point solutions.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive competitive intelligence program across vendors (e.g., Lyra, Spring Health, Modern Health, Headspace, Talkspace, legacy EAPs) covering positioning, pricing, clinical models, and utilization.
  • Develop differentiated buyer-persona positioning for health plan leaders, employer benefits teams, broker/consultant advisors, and platform/channel partners and evangelize the "why Mind wins" narrative.
  • Generate qualified pipeline through relationship-driven business development, partnerships, conference presence, and thought leadership, leveraging a network across health plans, brokers, consultants, and employers.
  • Create and maintain sales enablement materials (competitive battlecards, objection handling, RFP frameworks, ROI models, tailored narratives) to give sales teams a competitive edge.
  • Partner closely with sales to shape deal strategy, support active opportunities, join key client conversations and finalist presentations as a strategic expert, and incorporate win/loss insights.
  • Define client transition and cross-sell strategies to replace traditional EAPs within existing clients and prioritize expansion opportunities across Sword’s client base with clear business cases.
  • Translate market signals into scalable go-to-market strategies and channel plans across health plans, consultants, brokers, and platform partners, including partnership models and packaging.
  • Act as the internal market voice to influence product and clinical roadmaps, inform the evidence strategy, and ensure product, pricing, and packaging reflect market needs to win commercially.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of experience in healthcare strategy, commercial strategy, product marketing, or business development within digital health, health plans, benefits consulting, or healthcare technology.
  • Deep, established relationships across health plans, broker/consultant, and employer ecosystems.
  • Proven track record of positioning a product as a category leader in a competitive healthcare market and influencing enterprise deals without directly owning quota.
  • Strong understanding of the mental health landscape, including EAPs and point solutions, and how buying decisions are made.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills for executive rooms and industry stages, and ability to translate complex models (AI + clinician care, outcomes-based pricing) into clear narratives.
  • Strategic thinker who connects market insights to product and commercial action and is comfortable operating cross-functionally across product, sales, marketing, and clinical teams.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can build from zero.
  • Preferred: experience in mental health, EAPs, behavioral health, or digital therapeutics and familiarity with AI-native healthcare products.
  • Preferred: experience with outcomes-based pricing models, background in consulting or health plan strategy, experience selling through consultants and brokers, and proficiency using AI tools to accelerate research and content.
  • Must have legal right to work in the United States; Sword will not provide immigration or work visa sponsorship.

Benefits

  • Total target compensation range: $262,500 - $412,500 per year (includes base, variable and estimated equity value).
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance (eligibility for full-time employees 25+ hours/week).
  • Equity shares and discretionary PTO plan.
  • 401(k) and financial advisory services.
  • Parental leave and paid company holidays.
  • Flexible working hours and remote-first company policy.
  • Supplemental insurance options (Accident, Hospital, Critical Illness), Life and AD&D insurance, and Health Savings Account.
  • Free digital therapist for you and your family.
