Description

  • Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to assigned clients.
  • Lead client onboarding for new engagements according to defined processes.
  • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable management, bookkeeping entries, monthly close, and financial reporting and analysis.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships while working within established processes and budget parameters.
  • Collaborate with the manager and team members to ensure timely, effective client communication.
  • Identify opportunities to add services or tools that increase client value and efficiency.
  • Participate in recurring team and one-on-one video meetings to stay aligned on goals.
  • Apply coaching and feedback from the manager to support team and client objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal government contracting requirements, including FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA-related standards.
  • Review and set up new government contracts in the accounting system and handle related cost, payroll, WIP, and incurred cost tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including AP, AR, monthly close, and financial reporting/analysis.
  • Strong experience in federal government contracting, including FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and other federal regulations.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or QuickBooks Government Edition.
  • Experience reviewing and setting up new government contracts in an accounting system.
  • Strong working knowledge of indirect, direct, and unallowable costs, as well as wrap rates for government contracts.
  • Payroll experience with multiple government contracts is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with WIP reports and incurred cost submissions is strongly preferred.
  • Ability and commitment to work during business hours, 8:00 am–5:00 pm EST, CST, MST, or PST.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling client data.
