Description

  • Lead and support a remote team of experienced client-facing accountants.
  • Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to assigned clients.
  • Support client onboarding for new engagements in accordance with defined processes.
  • Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, month-end close, and financial reporting tasks.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships while working within established processes and budget parameters.
  • Collaborate with managers and team members to ensure timely, effective client communication and satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to add services or tools that improve client value and efficiency.
  • Participate in recurring team and one-on-one video check-ins to stay aligned for success.
  • Apply coaching and feedback from management and implement changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal government contracting requirements and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including AP, AR, monthly close, and financial reporting/analysis.
  • Strong experience in federal government contracting, including FAR, CAS, DFARS, and DCAA compliance.
  • Experience reviewing and setting up new government contracts in an accounting system.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or QuickBooks Government Edition.
  • Strong working knowledge of indirect, direct, and unallowable costs, as well as wrap rates for government contracts.
  • Payroll experience with multiple government contracts is strongly preferred.
  • WIP Reports and Incurred Cost Submissions experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability and commitment to work during business hours (8:00 am–5:00 pm EST, CST, MST, or PST).
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when working with client data.
