Description

  • Own the end-to-end preparation and filing of annual financial statements for the India entity.
  • Support annual financial statement preparation and filing for other APAC and EMEA entities.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain account reconciliations in line with local GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
  • Prepare management reports, schedules, and audit support documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual statutory audit as the primary liaison with external auditors.
  • Apply judgment to validate accounting entries, accruals, and reconciliations and resolve accounting risks and issues.
  • Research, document, and communicate technical accounting positions to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and consultants to support accounting and reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian direct and indirect tax requirements, company secretarial matters, and statutory/local filings.
  • Manage tax disputes and coordinate timely responses to tax authorities and notices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy with CA qualification.
  • 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience with Indian entities, preferably in an MNC environment or auditing Indian entities, preferably with Big 4 firms.
  • Experience with prepaid, accruals, fixed asset accounting, intercompany accounting, commission accounting, lease accounting, payroll accounting, reconciliations, flux analysis, and process documentation.
  • Strong understanding of Indian GAAP and Ind AS; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably NetSuite.
  • Ability to analyze financial records and explain findings in simple terms to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, multitasking ability, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
